41 ships laden with petroleum products, foods to arrive at Lagos

Forty one ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication – `Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.
NPA stated that the expected ships contained general cargoes, containers, steel products, buck wheat, rice, bulk sugar, bulk urea, crude palm olein, bulk gypsum, kerosene, diesel, and petrol.
The document noted that 10 other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with rice, crude palm oil, petrol, diesel and kerosene.
16 other ships are at the ports discharging buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, general cargoes, bulk sugar, steel products, containers, soda ash, butane, petrol and bulk gas.
