Nigerian senate rejects Ibrahim Magu's nomination as EFCC chairman
Senators this morning rejected the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of antigraft agency, EFCC. According to the senate spokesperson, Magu was rejected because of a security report it received. Details of the security report was however not disclosed.
Senators Dino Melaye and the Majority leader of the house, Ali Ndume, exchanged hot words when Magu's screening was called up. Ndume who is from Borno as Magu, was in support of his confirmation while Melaye was totally against it. Magu has been serving in acting capacity since November 2015.
