The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday raided a Bayelsa State construction company owned by Robert Azibaola, cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
SaharaReporters said that the EFCC stormed the premises of the company, Kakatar Group, in Otakeme, Bayelsa State at around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
The operatives allegedly damaged equipment and machinery during their search.
At the time of publication, it cannot be independently verify whether the EFCC discovered any incriminating evidence.
It would be recalled that the owner of the construction company, Mr. Azibaola, is currently standing trial for money laundering.
