Call EFCC to order- Ondo state governor, Mimiko tells FG as he reacts to EFCC freezing of Fayose's account



Ondo state governor has called on the Federal government to call the EFCC to order following the freezing of one of the accounts of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose. In a statement he released yesterday June 21st, Mimiko said this action by the antigraft agency is not good for democracy

EFCC files N1.5bn charges against FFK, Nenadi Usman, others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) 
has filed a 17 count charge against a former Aviation Minister
 and spokesman for the PDP Presidential campaign in the 2015
general election, Femi Fani-Kayode over an alleged N1.5 billion
fraud. Also included in the charge sheet are former Minister
of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, a company named
Joint Trust Dimensions Limited, one Danjuman Yusuf and
another Olubode Oke, who is reportedly on the run.

Why we’ve not arrested Jonathan — EFCC boss

The  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC explained, yesterday, why it has not arrested former President Goodluck Jonathan following startling revelations on how the former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki  (retd) allegedly disbursed over $2.1 billion meant for arms purchase to various individuals.

Alarmed by the revelations, the National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has, however, asked Dr Jonathan to speak out.

Breaking: Magu replaces Lamorde as EFCC boss

Chairman of the anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, has been replaced by Ibrahim Magu, a top level official of the Economic and Governance Unit of the EFCC.

Lamorde, has been the EFCC chair since 2011.
Magu is remembered as a no-nonsense investigator of the commission at its inception.
He was removed along with several other key officials by Farida Waziri when she became chairman in 2008.
